2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE specifications and pricing revealed officially

The specification and pricing of the new 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE range have gone official now in Australia. Besides the announcement, the carmaker has also started the sale of these models. There are three engine variants in the SUV’s range and all of them gets new technology and equipment.
The base variant GLE300d is furnished with Multibeam LED headlights having the adaptive high beam. There is a powered tailgate along with aluminium roof rails and running boards. The car rides on 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside the base model, there is a dual MBUX infotainment setup of 12.3-inch along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. A heads-up display is also provided and some unique features like ‘Mercedes me Connect’ services and ‘Hey Mercedes' voice recognition forms the major part of highlights. Other equipment like DAB+ digital radio, heated front seats, configurable ambient lighting, open-pore oak wood trim, Nappa leather steering wheel, and Artico leatherette upholstery are also present.
The base model is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged oil-burner, which is capable of providing a maximum power of 241 hp along with a peak torque of 500 Nm. It completes the nil to 100 kmph sprint in just 7.2 seconds.
Next comes the GLE450, which has a hybrid powertrain containing a 3.0-litre turbocharged mill along with a 48V mild-hybrid tech. The combination is capable of churning out a maximum power of 362 hp power and the peak torque is 500Nm. It can do the famous 0 to 100 kmph sprint in 5.7 seconds.
The final one from the range is GLE400d, which has a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel under the hood. It pumps out a maximum power of 326 hp along with a peak torque of 700 Nm. It takes 5.8 seconds of time to hit the 100 kmph mark in the speedometer.
All the aforementioned engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that sends power going to all the four wheels. Safety features include an automated parking assistant, a 360-degree surround camera, adaptive cruise control, steering assist, autonomous emergency braking, Mercedes-Benz’s Pre-Safe Plus predictive collision protection technology, blind-spot assist, and lane change assist.
As for the pricing, the base model comes with a price tag of $99,900, while the GLE450 is priced at $111,700, followed by the flagship one from the range, GLE400d, that costs $118,500.
