2020 Chevrolet Corvette in heavy demand

It seems like the buyers cannot have enough of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette. The first-mid engine Corvette was launched two weeks ago and has already taken the market by storm.

The 2020 Corvette will be offered in Australia as the first factory right-hand-drive car, and it is set to arrive in Holden outlets in late 2020 or early 2021.

Powering the new Corvette is a 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 mill that poops out a maximum power of 503 PS along with a peak torque of 637 Nm. Sending power to the rear wheels is an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. In the future, Chevrolet might bring along a twin-turbo or hybrid power versions of the Corvette, but no confirmation is given yet.

Chevrolet wants the 2020 Corvette to more than just a car with straight-line performance. With the Corvette, the company plans to take over the best offering in Europe. It is for the same aspiring reason that Chevrolet has used a double-wishbone suspension in the car as standard. The upcoming car will come with the company’s magnetic ride control system that’ll be a part of its optional Z51 Performance Pack.

A GPS-backed nose lifter protects that shapely nose and is capable of memorizing a thousand locations to raise automatically.

Mike Simcoe, General Motors design chief said, “I think the orders have already hit the first year of production numbers. It is nearly sold out. It is so close that it is bound to be sold out soon.”

The company has not revealed the number of cars it will manufacture for 2020, and the number of pre-orders is not precise yet.
