As for the powertrain, it has the same 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which is used in the outgoing model, however, the tuning is a bit different. The engine pushes out a maximum power of 385 hp and the peak torque is 520 Nm. The power is sent to all the wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. It takes just 4.9 seconds to speed up from 0 to 100 kmph before attaining the top speed of 250 kmph.

Inside the car, there is a new MBUX infotainment system, which is the biggest update. Just like its high-tech siblings, the GLC features natural voice controls and dual-screen setup instead of the one-piece display like the A-Class and E-Class systems. The car shares the same clever augmented reality navigation system with the A-Class that has a head-up display offering video-game-style arrow overlays on the road.

A new AMG steering wheel will be gripped by the GLC43 driver while driving. There are several touch controls along with rotating mode dial on the steering wheel’s spokes. The car also brings a range of new trim options that include black/grey and red/black leather.
