2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale has arrived, price starts at $846,888

The Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the Italian automaker's plug-in hybrid supercar has finally landed down under. For Australia, the supercar gets a starting drive-away price of $846,888. The best part, however, is the fact that it is a "range" model that is available for everyone to get his/her hands on it unlike some of the Ferrari models that are only available to some select masses who sport a classic car portfolio.

"Anyone can come and buy an SF90. In previous collections, had to have a certain portfolio to be eligible to purchase some of the vehicles. Now the strategy is that we have a hypercar, our first plug-in hybrid, and that is open to every person to purchase,” said Peter Sutton, Ferrari Australasia sales manager. Sutton also went on to say that the first-year units of the 2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale are already "nearly exhausted". However, we still don't know the exact number of units that Australia will receive.

Speaking of power, the 2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale's powertrain comprises of a 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 engine that works in conjunction with three electric motors. The combined top power output is rated at 986 hp, and the plug-in hybrid supercar can do a 0 to 100 kmph run in 2.5 seconds before topping out at 340 kmph. The all-electric range stands at 25 kilometres, and the Italian automaker has made use of the two front electric motors to coin an active torque-vectoring system, RAC-E.

The interior is also an updated territory with 16-inch digital display serving the purpose of an instrument cluster. Also, the mechanical buttons on the steering wheel have now been replaced by much modern touch units. The 2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale rides on 20-inch carbon-fibre wheels which come clothed with 255/35 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 at the front and 315/30 at the rear. Also on offer is the "Assetto Fiorano" package that brings on table the likes of carbon-fibre doors & underbody, titanium springs & exhaust, and multimatic shock absorbers. In addition to the 2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale's starting price of $846,888, the "Assetto Fiorano" package will cost you another $100,000+.
