BMW reveals 2020 X6 SUV Coupe

Meet the all-new 2020 BMW X6 with the company’s latest tech, powertrain, and design. It was not expected that BMW would reveal the third-generation X6 SUV ahead of its public debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September. Talking about the design, it looks very much similar to the X5 in terms of the B-pillar forward. It gets a unique design at the rear and premieres the option of an illuminated front grille.
Recently, the BMW coupe series features a similar design at the rear, but X6 has gone its own way. It gets a stout tail with loads of creases and contrasting elements in the bodywork, but the LED taillights still resemble the shape of other coupe models like Z4 Roadster, 8 series, and X4. The consumer gets the option of upgrading to xLine or M Sport design packages, which will provide a more sportier appearance.
In terms of interiors, the dashboard and displays are taken from the new X5 with BMW’s latest OS7.0 infotainment software. It also consists of two 12.3-inch high-resolution displays, which is also compatible with Microsoft Office 365 and Skype. This feature allows the driver to join teleconferences upon request. Additional infotainment focus incorporates satellite navigation, two USB ports, access to online concierge and information services, and compatibility with the BMW Digital Key, which allows the user to lock/unlock or turn the engine on via the BMW Connected app on the smartphone.
X6 also flaunts the range of new materials and textures inside the cabin, which includes Vernasca leather upholstery as standard. In addition to that, the cabin comes with four-zone climate control, a panoramic glass sunroof, a 20-speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system and a wireless charging pad. There will be four engine options available in X6; two diesel and two petrol. All of them will be equipped with xDrive all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
