Pricing and specs of new BMW 3 Series Touring confirmed for Australia

BMW has revealed the pricing and specifications of the new 3 Series Touring for the Australian market. The carmaker has also informed that it will launch the car with only one engine option this October.
Mechanically, the 330i is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol mill that is capable of providing a maximum power of 255 hp along with a peak torque of 400 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, and the layout is paired with the rear-wheel-drive system. Starting from nil, the car can hit the 100 kmph mark in just 5.9 seconds.
The carmaker offers the M Sport Package as the standard feature locally. The package includes a darker headliner, M Leather steering wheel, blacked-out exterior trim, an M body kit, an adaptive M suspension system, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Moreover, there is also an option to have the Luxury Line. Selecting it, the consumer will have to sacrifice the sporty add-ons, which will be replaced by different alloy wheel design, wooden interior trim, and aluminium roof rails.
There are some common features for both the models such as a 10-speaker sound system and adaptive LED headlights. The driving assistant professional package is also offered with both the versions. It contains lane departure warning, parking assist, and autonomous emergency braking. Other notable equipment is Keyless entry/start, and wireless phone charging.
The buyer also gets the sedan-like equipment inside as an option. This means that the car can bring a plethora of features including a BMW OS7.0 infotainment having the voice activation and digital instrument binnacle. Other optional features are a panoramic glass sunroof, a Harmon/Kardon surround sound system, three-zone climate control, acoustic glass in the windows, and ambient lighting.
Speaking of its pricing, the base price tag for the new BMW 3 Series Touring is $ 73,900 excluding on-road costs.
