Toyota confirms Granvia’s preliminary details, will launch in Q4 of 2019

The preliminary details of the upcoming Toyota Granvia are official. It will hit the Australian shores on the Q4 of 2019. Earlier on, the automaker has confirmed its arrival and also informed that the vehicle will be either five or six-seater. Also, it said that the vehicle will be available in two trim levels namely, VX and standard.
The all-new Toyota Granvia is likely to come with a three-row layout of individual captain’s chairs having the armrest, while the variant having eight-seats will come with a fourth-row as 60/40 split two-seat rear bench. There will also be the climate control system on the front as well as the rear of the cabin. Other notable features are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual side-sliding doors and keyless entry having a push-button start.
The top-spec version, Granvia will come with quilted leather-accented upholstery, powered rear doors, etc. Moreover, the seat backrest adjustment and the rear captain's chairs get fold-out ottoman.
The Toyota Safety Sense driver assistance suite is provided across all the new Granvia versions. It includes high-speed adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking with a pedestrian (day/night) and cyclist detection (day), lane departure alert, automatic high-beam, and road sign assist.
The automaker has not spoken much about the powertrain options for the all-new Granvia. It has confirmed that the vehicle will get a turbo-diesel engine only. It is assumed that the vehicle will share the 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with the Hiace. The mill is capable of providing a maximum power of 174 hp and the peak torque of 450 Nm.
The pricing and the other specifications will soon be official as we proceed towards the local launch.
