Ford Ecosport

Ford Ecosport is a compact urban SUV vehicle that has a wheelbase of 2519 mm and ground clearance of 209 mm. This mid-size SUV is available in three trims Ambiente, Trend, and Titanium. The base variant is offered with the 1.5L petrol engine that comes with 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine can produce a maximum power of 90.5kw at 6,500rpm and torque of 150Nm at 4,500rpm. Whereas mid and top variants come with the standard 1.0L EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine that can produce a maximum power of 92kw at 6,000rpm and torque of 170Nm at 1,500-4,500rpm. However, Trend and Titanium comes with different transmission systems, and Trend comes with 6-speed automatic transmission mode, whereas Titanium comes with the 6-speed automatic transmission system with paddle shift.  

The drive away prices from the base variant of the Ecosport starts from $18,291 to $28,990 for the top-trim. This car has a lot to offer in this price range, but when it comes to the standard features, base variant Ambiente lacks many features that come standard with the other two variants. Moreover, the first model comes simply with quad beam halogen headlamps, rear fog lamps, power side mirrors, 16-inch steel wheels. In addition to it, the mid variant comes with added silver finish front grille, front fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, black finish roof rails. And, in addition to these features, Titanium comes with power sunroof, chrome finish front grille, HID headlamps, signature LED daytime running lights, power side mirrors with puddle lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, and silver finish roof rails.

In terms of interior, fabric seats are offered in the first two models, whereas the top models come with leather accented seats. In addition, the base variant offers you a 6.5-inch touch screen infotainment system, 4.2-inch instrumentation screen, Bluetooth connectivity, 6 speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 12V outlet in the front and rear, and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls. And, rest of the variants comes with standard 8-inch capacitive touch screen, 4,2-inch instrumentation screen, 7 speakers, and satellite navigation with voice control. 

Coming to the safety and security features, Ecosport comes standard with driver, passenger, knee, side, and curtain airbags, traction control, front disc brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, emergency brake assist, emergency brake lights, emergency assistance, hill launch assist, rear parking sensor, rearview camera, perimeter alarm, engine immobiliser. 

Ford has also taken care of the passengers' convenience and with Ecosport, you’ll get standard follow me home lighting, cargo management system, electronic power-assisted steering, and cruise control. Whereas in the top trim, you’ll get automatic climate control, electro-chromatic rearview mirror, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, smart keyless entry with push-button start/stop, and automatic headlamps. 

Ford Ecosport is a mid-range subcompact SUV that offers a quality ride with affordable mileage range of 6.7L/100km - 6.9L/100km. However with the base variant Ambiente, you might feel the need for some essential interior and exterior features such as front fog lamps, puddle lamps, satellite navigation, and automatic climate control system.
