Audi has very recently launched the 2020 models for the A5 with minor styling revisions and some new technological features. The outgoing model meanwhile can be had for prices starting from $83400. The cabriolet competes against similar German convertibles like the BMW 430i Cabriolet and the Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet. Audi is offering only one engine in the A5 having discontinued the diesel option last year. It is a 2L 4-cylinder turbocharged mated to a 7-speed Tiptronic transmission that comes with either front-wheel drive or Quattro AWD. With front-wheel drive it develops 140 kW and 320 Nm of torque and with Quattro it makes 185 kW and 370 Nm of torque. Audi pre sense with auto emergency braking and pedestrian detection is standard. Adaptive cruise control, park assist and 360-degree view are optional on the base model. Rearview camera, side assist, lane assist, ambient lighting, 8.3” infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Audi’s virtual cockpit system are also standard. As is the folding fabric roof.
